Chapter 325

After a long day handling company affairs, Nolan finally made his way home just as the sky began to darken.

Standing by the entrance, the butler anxiously paced back and forth. The moment Nolan's car pulled up, he rushed over, barely able to contain his panic. "Sir,there's been an emergency-Elora has vanished!"

The color drained from Nolan's face. "What do you mean?"

Words tumbled from the butler's mouth. "I only learned about it moments ago. Elora left for a hospital appointment this afternoon, and the driver waitedoutside for ages, but she never came back out.He scoured the entire hospital, couldn't find her anywhere, and called me just before you arrived."

Nolan's hands balled into fists, his jaw set tight.

The thought of Elora being in danger gnawed at him,and guilt twisted in his chest.

He didn't hesitate. "Get everyone searching the entire estate from top to bottom," he commanded, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Without another word, he pulled out his phone and called Erick. "Check the hospital's security footage right now. Track Elora's movements from the moment she arrived."

Erick could instantly tell from Nolan's voice that something was very wrong. "Boss, is there a problem?"

Nolan's voice was tight with strain as he replied,"Elora's missing. Move quickly."

"Understood!" Erick replied without hesitation, already preparing to investigate.

A few minutes later, Erick's message lit up Nolan's phone. "Mr. Stewart, I've tracked her location. She's at Eternity Cemetery."

Nolan stared at the screen, momentarily stunned.

That was the site of Reyna's memorial, though her body had never been laid to rest there, and it was just a monument.

He couldn't fathom why Elora would choose to go there.

Uncertainty gnawed at him, but he didn't waste time analyzing it. He jumped into his car and sped off. Foot pressed hard on the gas pedal, he raced toward the cemetery, determined to get there as quickly as possible.

He screeched to a stop at the cemetery's entrance.

In his rush to get out, Nolan didn't notice his phone slip from his pocket and land on the seat.

The phone's screen glowed on and off in the empty car.

With his heart pounding, Nolan made his way through the gravestones, heading straight for Reyna's grave.

In the distance, he finally spotted someone familiar.

Elora was there, her dress too thin for the chilly air, slumped against the cold marble as she quietly poured her heart out. "Reyna, I've missed you so much. Am I nothing but a burden, always dragging Nolan down? I'm terrified he'll give up on me, too, just like everyone else I cared about. Sometimes, I wish I could follow you. I hope you're at peace, wherever you are."

Those words hit Nolan hard, stirring up a deep sense of remorse.

He realized how delicate Elora truly was and knew his recent distance had probably only fueled her fears. Determined to make things right, Nolan moved closer and took his place by her side. "You're talking nonsense.I would never leave you behind."

Nolan's gaze shifted to the image on the gravestone, and he quietly promised, "Mom, you can rest easy.I promise to look after Elora from now on."

Without saying anything else, Elora wrapped her arms around him and whispered softly, "Thank you,Nolan."

Nolan reassured her, gently rubbing her back. "You're practically my family. I will never abandon you."

Together, they stood in a silent embrace, finding comfort in each other amidst the stillness of the cemetery.
