Chapter 384

Hearing the uproar in the hall, Hilda, Jeff, and Maverick stepped out from the VIP lounge to see what was happening.

They were immediately greeted by chaos-a scene so ridiculous it soured their moods in an instant.

A buzz ofgossip swept through the crowd.

"Is Ms. Guyton expecting?"

"Who's the father supposed to be?"

"Don't you remember? The gossip columns had her and Mr. Stewart as an item. Wouldn't be shocking if she's having his kid!"

"Maybe the whole engagement was just about the baby in the first place!"

Eleanor's fists clenched so tightly her knuckles turned white, a chill running through her.

So that was the reality.

The doubt she had tried to dismiss as paranoia was real all along. How naive she had been to believe in Nolan.

Beside her, Lillian squeezed her hand, her face awash with sympathy. She glared up at Nolan, her eyes burning with open disdain.

Jeff's complexion had gone pale, the shock and anger etched deep in his features.

His daughter-finally reunited with him-was now being dragged through public humiliation, and rage burned hot in his chest.

Without hesitation, Jeff strode straight up to Nolan.

"Nolan, you've gone too far! You bring your so-called pregnant fiancee here just to embarrass my daughter in front of me?"

Nolan's jaw tightened, at a loss for words, unable to mount any defense.

"I'll get to the bottom of this, Jeff," Nolan managed to reply, his voice strained and raw.

His eyes never left Eleanor, locking on her as if willing her to look back.

Eventually, Eleanor raised her head and met his gaze.

She didn't say a word; she just offered him a cold, bitter smile. With that, she turned and walked away, her shoulders stiff with pride and pain.

Watching her disappear. Jeff felt as if someone had torn his heart in two.

He spun to the event coordinator, barely keeping his fury in check. "Where's security? I don't recall inviting the Stewarts. Who let them in? Get them out-now!"

Maverick approached Jeff, offering a reassuring pat on the back.

His gaze flicked to Nolan, and the faintest hint of a satisfied smirk touched his lips.

Luck was finally tipping in his favor.

He barely had to lift a finger-victory seemed handed to him.

Moments later, several burly security guards arrived and efficiently escorted Nolan, Fannie, and Elora out of the venue.

The ride back was thick with tension.

Fannie trembled as she held onto Elora, hardly daring to breathe.

Nolan sat in silence, his eyes as cold and unreadable as ice. He was absolutely certain he had never touched Elora.

So how could she be pregnant?

"Drive," Nolan instructed the chauffeur, voice cutting through the air. "Take us to a hospital."

Fannie looked up in confusion. Nolan?"

"We're getting her full examination," he said, urgency edging his tone.

Nolan needed results immediately.

An hour passed.

Inside the hospital room, the doctor finally approached Nolan, a stack of papers in hand.

"Mr. Stewart, it's confirmed. Ms. Guyton is pregnant-about two weeks along."
