Chapter 337

Eleanor had just changed and was getting ready to leave.

She didn't have time for Nolan today-her schedule was packed.

She had a meeting with the agent of a male model,Arion Fletcher.

Enigma was set to launch a new collection next month, and for the first time, Eleanor was including menswear. That meant finding the right male model was a must.

Hailing a cab, Eleanor soon arrived at the sleek restaurant where Rupert Brown, Arion's agent, was already seated by the window.

The moment he saw her, Rupert stood up and extended a polite hand. "Pleased to meet you."

Eleanor shook it firmly and took her seat.

After a few minutes of polite chatter, she turned to business.

Sliding a contract across the table, she explained, "Mr. Brown, this is the draft we prepared. As for compensation, we're offering seven percent above the standard market rate-"

However, her words were cut off by a familiar, lilting voice. "Nolan, see? I told you I wasn't wrong. It really is Eleanor."

Eleanor's brow furrowed slightly, and she looked up.

Nolan was walking toward her, his expression dark, with Elora trailing behind.

Eleanor didn't let their presence shake her. She turned back to Rupert, focusing calmnly on the contract details, speaking as if Nolan wasn't even there.

But Nolan couldn't comprehend her composure. How could she act so nonchalant?

Anger and jealousy overtook him.

Without a second thought, he stepped forward, grabbed her hand, and started pulling her toward the exit.

Rupert awkwardly rubbed the bridge of his nose, unsure whether Nolan had misunderstood the situation.

Elora stood still, looking surprised and confused. Eleanor stumbled over her own feet as Nolan pulled her along, twisting her wrist slightly. "Nolan! Let go of me!"

He ignored her, his grip tightening as he dragged her out of the restaurant.

In moments, she found herself pressed against his car, trapped between him and the vehicle, his arms bracketing her with an intensity that sent her pulse racing.

Lowering his voice into a dangerous, low timbre, he said, "So this is what 'no time' means? No time for me,but enough time for some guy your fans picked? If Elora hadn't mentioned being hungry after shopping,I wouldn't even know my girlfriend was planning to cheat on me."

Eleanor met his fiery gaze without flinching. Her voice remained calm and measured. "Nolan, this is the agent for the male model I picked for our next collection. We were finalizing a collaboration. That's all."

Nolan froze. The memory of the contract on the table clicked in his mind.

He had jumped to conclusions, letting his fear and jealousy cloud his judgment.

Realizing this, he let go of Eleanor's wrist. Seeing the red mark on her skin, he knew he had hurt her and quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, Eleanor, I-"

Eleanor cut him off. "It's not fair to leave a business partner waiting. I need to get back to work. Elora is waiting for you."

With that, she stepped past him and returned to the restaurant, settling opposite Rupert once again."Apologies for the disturbance, Mr. Brown," she said with a polite smile.

Rupert waved it off, mirroring her politeness. "No worries. Is everything okay?"

Eleanor nodded lightly. "All good. Let's continue."

Rupert inclined his head and returned to the papers in front of him.

Outside, Nolan pressed against the glass, watching Eleanor laugh lightly as she discussed something with Rupert. Every smile, every gesture tore at him.

He wanted to storm back in, to prove himself, but the thought of her snapping at him kept him rooted in place.

Elora, standing quietly beside him, followed his gaze."Nolan," she said gently, "Eleanor's focused on work right now. She'll reach out when she's done. Don't interrupt her. We've already handled the bracelet. For nch, let's just head home."

Nolan didn't want to bother Eleanor, so he nodded and drove Elora home.
