Chapter 343

News traveled rapidly through Elepdon's elite social circle.

While arranging decorations for the engagement venue, Nolan noticed the group photograph trending on Facebook.

Eleanor's face beamed with genuine happiness in the snapshot.

Beside her stood a man with ash-blond hair, his gaze unwaveringly fixed on her.

Coldness immediately settled across Nolan's features at the sight.

As a man, he instinctively understood the meaning;the stranger was clearly captivated by Eleanor.

A surge of urgency gripped him, prompting Nolan to dial Erick and demand, "Find out where Eleanor went yesterday.I want the complete surveillance footage."

The video arrived without delay.

Watching the man successfully add Eleanor on Facebook,Nolan felt jealousy flare uncontrollably

To hell with the surprise!

By the time the engagement venue was fully prepared, someone else might already have charmed her away!

Frustrated, Nolan tossed the colored ribbon aside and reached for his phone to call Eleanor.

As usual, the line was busy.

Impatience won over, and he started moving toward the exit.

Elora, finishing a balloon tie, hurried to intercept him."Nolan, where are you headed?"

Agitation stripped his usual restraint. "Some guy is going after Eleanor. I have to see her."

Elora's heart skipped a beat. Once they met and cleared any misunderstanding, Ady's plan would fail. She couldn't allow events to spiral like this.

Gripping his arm firmly, she urged, "Calm yourself,Nolan. Eleanor is extraordinary; admirers naturally appear. But no matter how impressive others seem, none could ever match you. She won't turn toward them."

Seeing his hesitation, Elora pressed further. "The engagement is just days away. Hold back a little longer. Think-if you rush over now, you might reveal the surprise we've carefully planned. All our efforts would be wasted. Wouldn't that be regrettable?"

When he heard the word "surprise", Nolan's rigid jaw softened slightly.

He had restrained himself for weeks, eager to present Eleanor with an unforgettable engagement ceremony.

Allowing it to collapse at the final hour was unthinkable.

He only had to wait for two more days.

He would reveal to all of Elepdon that Eleanor was his fiancée.

By then, no one would be bold enough to covet her again.

...

Meanwhile, at the Benton family's villa, Lillian bit into a crisp apple and muttered, "Eleanor, it's been the entire night. Has Nolan called you?"

Eleanor lifted her gaze from the design drafts on the tablet and shook her head faintly. "No," she replied, her voice neutral and detached. Lillian gasped theatrically and slammed the apple down. "Ah, then it's finished. His attention has shifted elsewhere! He once clung possessively to you. Even a brief chat with someone else would ignite jealousy.Yet after seeing the group photo, he didn't bother to call. Complete indifference."

Eleanor smiled lightly, unconcerned. "Forget it. He no longer matters to me. I'll focus solely on my career.Could you stop bringing him up?"

A frown creased Lillian's brow; intuition whispered that something remained unresolved.

"I still struggle to accept it. Can anyone really change so quickly? Perhaps Nolan has reasons hidden from us."

She was about to probe further when Eleanor's phone rang.

The caller ID revealed Rupert, Arion's agent.

"Miss Warren, wonderful news! The model selection and training went perfectly, and we can launch the show on the 21st!"

Joy laced Rupert's voice before he added in a more serious tone, "I have a small recommendation. If you plan a menswear line, Vladena would be ideal. The fashion scene is livelier." The announcement melted away Eleanor's lingering frustration and lifted her mood. "Alright. I appreciate your advice and will think it over carefully."

After ending the call, Eleanor turned to Lillian, still anxious.

"See? You really don't need to worry. Romance hasn't been part of my past, and now I'm back on track."Eleanor lifted an eyebrow and smiled with ease.

Finally, Lillian relaxed, giving a thumbs-up. "You are awesome!"
