Chapter 400

Elora's hands shook as she stared at the screen, taking a deep breath before opening Twitter.

She paused, letting the words form slowly in her mind, each keystroke a careful act of courage.

"I'm sorry for dragging attention back to myself.I know I should stay silent, but I have nowhere else to turn. The Stewart family... They want me to lose my baby. I know I'm unworthy of Nolan, never imagined joining his circle. But the baby is innocent. I beg everyone, please protect it. I'll leave-disappear far away and never return. I won't demand anything and am willing to sign any contract. I only ask to keep this child."

After typing, she added a photo, showing her fragile expression, eyes wet, hair falling loosely around her face.

The tweet went out, sparking an instant firestorm across social media.

Followers instantly bought into her performance.

"What the heck! Nolan's heart must be frozen! He even wants to murder his own child!"

"The Stewart family has gone overboard! Forcing a pregnancy to end-this has to be illegal!"

"Nolan,show your face! Heartless man!"

Public anger poured down on Nolan and the Stewart Group, criticism coming from every angle.

When the stock market opened, Stewart Group shares dove, hitting rock bottom in minutes.

To make matters worse, top media outlets stepped in,exposing the family's internal chaos.

The situation had blown out of control entirely.

Soon after, in the Stewart Group's top-floor boardroom, a senior director pounded the table, unable to hold back. "Nolan, our stock is collapsing, and public outrage is spiraling! Your private affairs are dragging the company through the mud!"

Heads around the table nodded emphatically.

Brodie leaned back at the far end, smirking inwardly.

He had begged shareholders for weeks just to witness this spectacle firsthand.

Feigning concern, he said, "Everyone, calm down.Nolan surely didn't intend this. But with public fury building, shouldn't he answer, especially to shareholders?"

The words seemed harmless, yet they carried venom underneath.

Nolan remained at the head of the table, icy and unreadable, eyes flicking to Brodie.

Brodie's mother had always been clever, but dragging Eleanor into this filthy plan was beyond the pale.Eleanor must think he was stirring up trouble again.

Slowly, Nolan raised his gaze, cold and sharp."Since when is it your business to meddle in my affairs?"

He rose, towering over the room with a quiet threat."Three days. I will settle this in three days. Meeting adjourned."

Without another glance, he pulled out his chair and walked out of the boardroom.

The moment the door clicked shut, murmurs and heated whispers erupted across the room.

Brodie watched silently. Three days. Nolan was truly conceited!

Back in his office, Nolan's phone rang at the worst possible moment.

It was Norwood. "Nolan!" Norwood's voice thundered. "Look at the chaos you've caused! All of Elepdon is laughing at our family! I don't care what happened with that Guyton girl-fix it now! Our family's name can't be dragged through the mud by you!"

Then the call ended abruptly.

Nolan stayed silent.

The office door swung open, and Brodie walked in without knocking.

"Nolan, Grandpa's temper hasn't cooled at all," he said, tongue clicking as he came closer. "Why bother? You've made a mountain out of a molehill over a woman.Wait-make that two women."

Nolan set the phone down and turned slowly to face him.

His gaze froze Brodie in place. "Bastard child," he said, cold as steel. "What right do you have to be here?"

Brodie's grin vanished.

He had always hated Nolan's prestige. Both were Stewarts, yet he was treated like a footnote, never first-class.

Nolan stepped forward, calm yet radiating menace.Brodie instinctively felt fear crawL up his spine. "Instead of gawking at my supposed downfall. ask your mother if she has left any loose ends."

Brodie's eyes widened.

What could he possibly know?

"Leave." Nolan's words cut through the air, cold and merciless.

Brodie's face shifted between rage and shock. Teeth clenched, he turned and walked out reluctantly.

By evening, one image quietly began trending across social media.

The man captured in the photo was Nolan.

He stood alone beneath the Stewart Group building, posture straight, but exhaustion carved deep lines across his forehead.

It was a sharp contrast to his usual noble, aloof, untouchable image.

Headlines mocked mercilessly. "Has the once-mighty CEO lost his crown? Nolan Stewart, isolated and weary on the streets!"

"Karma hits the century's biggest fool? Stewart Group stock tumbles, Nolan Stewart could step down in shame!" The comment section became a feeding frenzy.

"He's finally getting what he deserves! Mess with hearts, face the music!"

"Look at him, pathetic now. My heart goes out to Miss Guyton and her unborn baby."

"I used to think he was charming. Now he disgusts me Step out of the business world already!"
